What is League Age?

Your player’s league age is determined by the Little League Baseball® and Little League Softball®
Age Charts. The dates for baseball and softball are different, but each determines the division in which your Little Leaguer will play this season. The Age Determination Date for a Little League Baseball player is the actual age of a child on August 31 of the current year. The Age Determination Date for a Little League Softball player is the actual age of a child on December 31 of the previous year.

The website will automatically present you with the programs available to you based on your league age not your actual age.

Player Placement

MYBBSB is a skill based little league.  We do not place players in divisions strictly based on they age.  Players are evaluated during our Winter Skills clinic or mandatory February evaluations.  We place players in the best division based on their skill level so they have the best chance at success.  Players can be moved up or down a division if they were not properly evaluated before the season.

What is League Age?

League Age is the child's chronological age on:

Baseball - August 31st of the current year in which their season takes place.
i.e. For the 2019 season, if the child is 12 on August 31st, 2019, then they are League Age 12.

Softball - December 31st of the previous year in question.
i.e. For the 2019 season, if the child is 12 on Dec. 31st, 2018, then they are League Age 12.

The League Age calculator and League Age Charts can be found here.
