Hello Middletown Little League Community,
Happy New Year! We hope you all had a wonderful holiday and are looking forward to the upcoming 2023 Little League season. Registration is still open for our winter clinic and spring season, so please take advantage of our “$75 for 75 YEARS” special. The winter clinic will begin on January 14th at ATi in Cromwell. The softball time slot will be from 9:30-12:00, baseball will be from 1:00-3:30, and Tball/Challenger’s time slot will be from 12:00-1:00 (dependent upon enrollment numbers). The winter clinic is a great way for your player to get into “baseball/softball mode.” They will go through several stations consisting of throwing and catching, pitching, fielding, flyballs, and hitting on a weekly basis. Middletown Little League is an ability based league, meaning your player’s skill will determine in which division they are placed. Over the years, we have seen many players’ skills increase from the beginning of the clinic to the end, which placed them in a higher division than they would have by just going to evaluations. Registration for the winter clinic will close at 12:01 AM on January 13th, so you have less than a week to REGISTER!
With the winter clinics starting next Saturday, we ask that anyone who is planning on coaching or is interested in coaching during the season to please volunteer at one or as many clinic days as possible. You will have an opportunity to work with coaches who have been doing this event for several years, as well as learn the “Middletown Way” of coaching softball and baseball. This will help prepare you for the season and teach you new drills that you can use in practices. As much as this clinic is for the players, it’s also for the coaches!
